Zum 1. November hat Astrid Adamek den Posten als National Retail Managerin übernommen. Die gebürtige Wienerin folgt auf Stefan Naglis, der in Zukunft für die Planung und Organsisation des Shell Netzwerkes in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz zuständig sein wird.

Die Mutter zweier Kinder ist seit 2002 bei Shell in mehreren Positionen im Tankstellengeschäft im In- und Ausland tätig, darunter 2 Jahre als Verantwortliche für den Umbau und Neubau von Tankstellen in Australien. „Der österreichische Tankstellenmarkt ist ein wichtiger Markt für Shell. Wir wollen unsere Position hier halten und sogar noch ausbauen. Dabei setzen wir auf strategische Partnerschaften etwa im Shop-Geschäft. Damit hoffen wir, den Kunden in Zukunft ein noch besseres Angebot machen zu können.“, sagt Adamek.

Adamek arbeitet seit 7. November aus dem neuen Büro von Shell Austria auf der „Donauplatte“. Dort hat das Unternehmen im 17. Stockwerk des neuen Bürohauses „Tech Gate“ 800 Quadratmeter Bürofläche angemietet. „Am neuen Standort wird sich ein noch besseres kommunikativeres Miteinander unter den Shell Mitarbeitern über die einzelnen Geschäftsbereiche hinaus und ein leichterer Austausch mit anderen innovativen Firmen im Gebäude und in der näheren Umgebung ergeben“, so Gert Seybold, Geschäftsführer von Shell Austria. Die Lager- und Depottätigkeiten der Shell Austria verbleiben am Standort Lobau.

Heute sorgen rund 120 Mitarbeiter unter anderem dafür, dass Tag für Tag mehr als 100.000 Kunden ihre Fahrzeuge an einer Shell Tankstelle in Österreich auftanken können, der Mineralölhandel mit Treibstoffen und Heizöl versorgt wird und Fluggesellschaften mit Flugkraftstoffen beliefert werden. Shell ist seit 1924 in Österreich vertreten. Heute wird das Geschäft der Shell in Österreich in der Shell Austria GmbH gebündelt. Sitz des Unternehmens ist Wien.
